The participation of the Ministry of Health of Black River in the Thirteenth World Congress of Hydatid Disease, held from 9 to 11 this month in the city of Colonia, Uruguay, allowed the consolidation of lines of work already undertaken with regard to other countries, such as the case of Peru and the Universities of Texas (USA) and Melbourne (Australia), as well as the initiation of new contacts with institutions interested in the Programme of Control of hydatidosis implemented in the province since 1980, such is the case University of California (USA).
